Welcome to

As we look forward, our ongoing mission remains to provide a vibrant, inclusive space for recreation and community connection, adapting to evolving needs while honoring our heritage. With each year, we strive to enhance our facilities, foster new partnerships, and encourage greater participation from all ages, ensuring that the Memorial Ground not only preserves its legacy but also thrives as a cherished asset for generations to come.

Our 18-acre site offers a variety of sports facilities, including crown green bowling, cricket, football, and tennis. We take pride in having the town’s largest bowling green, a highly regarded cricket square, top-quality football pitches for amateur games, and a tennis court featuring a tiger turf pro surface—the finest artificial surface available.

The site also includes a children’s playground and a registered Biological Heritage Site, both accessible year-round for general recreation. On-site, you’ll find a friendly bar and café; profits from these help fund ground maintenance through charitable donations.
